Engagement photos are more than fun snapshots; they're one of the first mile markers in your wedding planning journey.
Engagement sessions are a great way to capture the love story between two people before they say 'I do'. They are also a great way to show off their wedding album cover art. Engagement sessions can be done at any time throughout the year but are best done closer to the big day.
The first step is to book a date and time that works well for both parties. This is usually either early morning or late afternoon.
Next, choose a location that is unique, romantic and fun. My couples always enjoy getting dressed up in a beautiful room with lots of natural light. I also love taking pictures outdoors.
Once you've chosen your location, it's time to start planning the shoot! Discuss what types of shots you want to take. Are you after candid images, posed portraits, group shots or something else entirely?
After this, it's time to think about props. Do you want to incorporate some into your shots? Is there anything special you'd like to add?
Finally, discuss wardrobe with your partner. Make sure you look amazing!
When you're ready, it's time to head to your location. Once there, let me guide you through the experience. Don't feel pressured to pose for every shot; instead, just relax and enjoy yourself.
Take advantage of the opportunity to share your love story with family and friends. When you receive the photos back, you'll see how much fun everyone had and how excited they were to share their love with you.
